"Yes, Commander. The Demeter situation has changed. We have new orders. Start assembling the boarding party now. Lieutenant Khareem in command, Doctor Smith as medic, Lieutenant Quan as Science Officer, two ratings for security. Looks like their reactor situation is worse than we thought."

"If it's the reactor, shouldn't we get Engineering out there?"

"Our orders require us to send a commander, medic and a science officer; I'm not letting those men go without security."

"In that case, I'll have the ratings taken from Engineering."

"I agree, that's our best solution. Engineering will be sent with the second jump, two hours from now.

"Captain, I thought we couldn't reach regulation transport range for another three hours."

"I'm aware of that, but we can match velocity in one hour, and Quan has assured me there's a pretty good fix on position. And as Lieutenant Quan will be part of the 'porting party, there is certainly motive to not screw up."
